Who would have thought such a tiny thing
Could make such a terrible mess
You might have said it's an elephant
If you were asked to guess

But it wasn't an elephant, no, no, no,
It's hard to believe but try
The cause of all this terrible mess
Was a pest called the bluebottle fly

Buzz buzz buzz that sound I dread
They've got eyes in the back of their head
And that's the reason why they see you coming 
And off they fly

You might have said it's a hippopotamus
